All the Fun of the Fair presents the fictional story of a student raped during a summer placement in the USA. Below a suspended, human-sized lobster, which is filled with statements about sexual violence, lies sand covered in broken beach toys and discarded trinkets: a reminder of the detritus and devastation that often remains once the holiday fun is over. And in amongst the sand, we see cryptically mirrored, quite literally, the danger of physical and psychological damage lurking behind superficially happy times
